1st this is the last time I'm going to warn you; please direct all console questions to the Console/Handhelds/Mobile forum. Next time I might not be so nice with a gentle warning. I'm more than willing to help answer your questions but you need to put them in the appropriate place.

2nd...how your dog can have a litter. Here are the guildlines:

    • There needs to be a pet house on the lot.
    • You need to have two dogs; one of each gender and they cannot be blood related.
    • Both pets need to have high relationship scores with the Sim.
    • Both pets need to have high realtionship scores with each other.
    • The household can't already be holding the maximum number of Sims and Pets.
Click on one of the dogs; there should be an option to "Try for Puppy" If the dog accepts it he/she will walk over to the other dog to see if that dog wants to try as well. If accepted they will both go to the pet house for a little...ahem...alone time. With the console versions immediately after breeding a single puppy will arrive. It's only a puppy for 1 day and stays in it's basket untless it's handled, nuzzeled or played with by it's parents or a Sim. After that day the puppy will grow into a full-grown pet.

This goes the same for cats and kittens.

Do these guidelines apply to the sims 2 pets for PC or are they changed?

Well I took that directly for the Prima guide; the Pets prima guide has a section on the PC and one for the console versions.

Looking at the PC version it's pretty much identicle. The main difference is that pregnancy lasts longer as well as the puppy/kitten stage. You can have more than 1 puppy/kitten at a time (up to four), and the little one doesn't stay in a basket.

Oh, and with the PC version it states that the "high relationship" needs to be at least 25 for the daily relationship (for both towards the other pet and the sim) and lifetime can be zero...but I'm sure the higher the relationship the more chance of the interaction being successful is.

And along with the pet house. It has to be useable (both PC and console) meaning it can't be fithy or occupied. Otherwise the pets won't be willing or able to use it.

To use quotes there should be an option at the end of each post that says quote; use that instead of reply.
