    Installing on a new computer

    Hi there

I am about to take delivery of a lovely new computer (go me).

I have most of the expansion packs (excluding Pets and the stuff packs). When I install them, do I have to apply the patches to each and every one or will just applying the last patch for Bon Voyage be enough?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Usually, the patches are built in with the next expansion pack in the series. For example, Freetime will contain the Bon Voyage patch that is soon to be released.

    Thank you Judson

That's what I suspected but I wanted to be sure.

Yup patching as you go is a bad idea because your older expansion packs will get all confoozicled with version numbers when they try to run the game updater routine. I know. This happened to me. Believe me you only want to reinstall a 4 disc game once in an afternoon ... I was almost irritated enough to go out and re-buy the game on DVD ...

swmeek I got your benevolent dictator pal!!

Funny I was under the impression that Uni was the only expansion to have a game patch in it for the base game.
I've also seen it advised that you install each appropriate patch(es) per expansion pack too. Maybe I'm wrong!
