The time in gameplay freezes! I have the Sims 2 with all expansion packs except for freetime. I was currently in the middle of playing it today. I got my sim to do something then everything froze. All my sims in the house just wont move. I can still move around, switch levels and click on things. None of my sims reply though. If I go onto any other houses it works fine. Please can you help me out! Thank you very much!
Okay, this is kind of a dumb question, but to rule it out first, did you accidently hit #0 which pauses the game? Also, how long did you wait for it to resolve itself? Do you have any processes running in the background? Was a carpool or other vehicle supposed to be showing up soon, sometimes that overloads the game and things freeze.
I got my sim to light the firework thing. No I didn't hit pause on the game lol. I have nothing else running in the background either. I left it for about 15mins but it did not resolve itself. It's just weird that it only does it in that house. Any other ideas?
Before or after things froze? Are any of the sims able to move around? One suggestion is to try a boolprop cheat. Follow the directions exactly to make sure nothing gets messed up. Open cheat window (ctrl + shift + c). Type in: boolprop testingcheatsenabled true hit enter. Right click on a sim and choose the option force errors, a pop-up box should come up. Choose reset. Your sim should jump a bit and hopefully be moveable again. If so, do this to the other sims as well. When done type in boolprop testingcheatsenabled false to turn off the boolprop cheat. Let me know if that helps.
Its ok ive sorted it now. I got the box up and clicked reset but it done nothing. So i clicked delete and now they are all working. Thank you very much for your help!
