    compatibility.

Okay, Um. I bought a blueberry iBook a few months ago and it came with Mac Os X 10.2 installed, but no Classic 9 or system disks. I can't afford to get any system disks, but I already own The Sims for PC and was going to sell it to get a used copy of The Sims for Mac. Will The Sims work in the OS X environment without classic or do I need to get classic to play it? Don't want to buy the game unless I know I can use it.

If you goto Apple Menu > Control Panel > Start Up, check to see if you have OS Classic on your start up. I'm pretty sure Apple has them coexisting.

Next, you might consider getting an emulation for PC. Saves you from selling your PC discs for The Sims. Basically it emulates a windows setting on your Mac. I think it is all software though I can't remember. I know a few hardware version exist out there.
