Hmm in icq you don't see when the other person is typing... you just give/get the mess. But you have a great deal of "history" and you can leave offline mess. which I miss in msn.
I like yahoo because you can save the messages and log them, you can see the person's status while they're typing back, and you can leave messages for them while they're offline that will pop up when they log in again. I DON'T like that when I was using it in Win98 I had trouble where it wouldn't let me minimize browser windows and then see them in the toolbar to maximize again, my toolbar disappeared!! But I don't have any problems like that running WinXP Pro now. Oh, and I like that it's skinnable and I can make my own graphics and sound schemes... heh heh heh....
Yes you can do that on icq too - save messages.. The skins I don't think icq have., but I can do without them..
