    My fellow Poster people! We must not tolerate this injustice anymore!

    See? These defective smilies deprive of of a way to express ourselves! Rise up and ask politely for it to be fixed!

    The Evil poll thingie won't let me make one option! That is why there are two! I should shop using exclamation points!

    Oh well, to paraphrase Reagan paraphrasing Lincoln: "A lot can be done as long as you dont care who gets the credit." So hats off to you Colonel. I knew Josh wouldnt see any of my posts complaining about them smilies, but I was just far too lazy to start a thread for that. I dont even use them that much anyways. About time something got done about it.

    I disagree. Why not have a completely careless smile rather than a miserable expression? After all a smile is always preferable..

    So far one hundred percent of the posters that voted think that something should be done. :p :p :p

    at this point, I probably won't be doing any bug fixing because I'm trying to debug the new user system for our site when we upgrade to vBulletin 3 :)

    The End is near, my fellow posters. Now is your last chance to join the Cult. Only the Cheddar god will be able to protect and see us through these trying times. Join and embrace your salvation everybody!

    Isn't a false smile one that pretends to be, but isn't? I believe (following a programme from the BBC) that a false smile hasn't got the 'smile' lines around the eyes.
    How many deaths has the Cheddar god been responsible for?

    R.I.P Cheddar thread: Sept. 10, 2003 - Nov. 24, 2003. :cry::cry:

    Gee, Froggie. I wonder why 100% of the vote is in favor of the smilies getting fixed. ;) :p

    That's too bad.

    The cheddar thread closing, not the vote.

    In England (I do not know about the rest of the U.K) a poster is a very large bit of paper or, more likely, lots of large pieces of paper stuck on an equally large 'bill board' outside in the open air. So the poster people are people who 'post' in the English fashion - except that post means to post a letter - ie drop it in the mail box (I can't remember what that is in American).

    Bookworm42 Oh No! Bathtime!

    Keep up the fight for functioning smilies Froggie...we salute you!

    As for the demise of the Cheddar Cult...the large donation I made to the Dunkin' Donuts Club, subsiduary of the Donut Demon cult, musta finally kicked in :p Kudos to the mod in charge although I will miss seeing what the "cheese flakes" are saying!

    Ahh, those inventive Americans, I love my dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, etc...plus all the assorted small appliances some creative types thought up...I have discovered my kitchen is too small for all my machines...seems ironic that as North Americans buy more stuff for their homes, they need bigger homes to store the stuff in then they have to work more hours paying for it thus resulting in never being able to be home to use any of it!! :eek:
    Let me quote one of Phil's more famous countrymen when I say, "something smells fishy in Denmark!" :p
