1st Try at Body Shop... Well, I finally got the basics of body shop down so I tried creating some custom features... I've got a lot to improve on but I thought I'd just share my first custom sim, which is up for download at sims2.com. I mettled with the hair, eye color, and outfit. Opinions appreciated..
Looks real good! I think you did an impressive job. I've tried a little bit with Body Shop and found it difficult to manage.
I spend hours recoloring stuff just for use in my game. It's really hard to keep track of which creators allow that stuff for sharing and which don't, so I just don't share any of it. I'm fond of black. There aren't enough pieces of black clothing in the game, IMHO, so I made more. That, and pink. I like pink. I've recolored stuff that came with the game as well, of course. Maybe I'll share sometime if I get DSL, or more patience. Patterns are harder to make look nice. Recoloring's just a matter of knowing how your graphics program works, but patterns have to line up right or they just look weird. I did make a nice stripey T shirt for teens and little girls, but they still don't approach what I've seen for download. Oh, hey, I could share my black eye! That turned out well. D'you think Josh would allow that? It figures. I make hundreds of pieces of clothing (although most of them were lost in the great motherboard earthquake) and the piece I'm most proud of is a bruise. With or without split lip. You did a nice job with the hearts, Jena.
I like it, Jena. Where's the link? Or am I just having a blonde moment? (eh? It's not grey, it's platinum blonde I tell ya! )
Start >> All Programs >> EA Games >> The Sims 2* >> The Sims 2 Body Shop *NOTE You should go for the sub group that contains the name of the latest expansion pack (if any) that you installed. So if you have Open For Business as your latest EP then you want: Start >> All Programs >> EA Games >> The Sims 2 Open For Business >> The Sims 2 Body Shop Alternatively look for the program launcher in My Computer: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 [name_of_latest_expansion]\CSBin\TS2BodyShop Right click TS2BodyShop and choose "send to desktop" this will place a shortcut on your desktop that you can then drag and drop on to your start button or right click on and choose "Pin to Start Menu" to make finding it regulalry easier.
