    Help Yourself

    Hi Newbie ... :)

You need to learn to use the search facilities that are what makes the internet such a cool facility. Always look for a search button (or link). Most pages have one, especially bulletin boards and forums and message boards.

See the attached pic, which shows where to find the search buttons here at World Sims

You would normally only want to use the search thread button button to help you find a specific point in an otherwise very long thread.

The most useful search button is the one that searches the whole forum database. For example: I ran a search for create new skins (click to check out the results yourself)

If you actually have the game, you already have BodyShop and can't use the downloadable one.

The downloadable one is not very good to use anyway, since some of the meshes which we had for it don't work any longer.

However, to use BodyShop, go to Start, click on all programs, then EA Games, then TheSims 2, then "The Sims 2 Body Shop."

But we warned, it may not come up quickly, especially if you have a lot of downloads. Homecrafter Plus (which you can find here: http://thesims2.ea.com/getcoolstuff/index.php?pid=GetCoolStuff) comes up a little faster.

There are times when BodyShop doesn't like coming up. I've found that if I bring up Homecrafter first, then exit it, BodyShop will then come up a little easier. (The game and BodyShop cannot be used at the same time. Same with Homecrafter and BodyShop or HomeCrafter and the game.)

Newbie, I've merged your threads. It's not a good idea to make more than one thread about the same subject. The forum doesn't move very quickly so if you don't get an answer right away, just wait for someone to come on who might be able to help. (As another moderator suggested, using the search function is also a very good idea.)

    Thanks

I found the Body Shop on my computer, it's just a little different because I have a Macintosh. There is no start menu. Now there are problems with the memory, but that doesn't belong on this thread, and I can figure it out myself.
