HELP!!! Saving Downloads ok, it has been a long time since I downloaded any items from any sites, and I have forgotten where to save them to. When I do download them, what folder do I save them to and where do I put them once they have been opened? Another question, when I try to place a driveway so my sims can buy a car, it won't let me, why is that? And when I go to buy a business lot and try to turn it into a car sales lot, the car icon in buy mode is faded out, why? I have both Nightlife & Open for Business installed? When I try to place the driveways, it says too close to foundation. *EDIT* Ok, I found a topic about the placing of the driveway, now maybe someone can answer my other 2 questions: 1) where do I save the downloads to? 2) Why can't I put cars in a car lot to sale in a community lot?
Download to wherever you want. Typicallt downloads are either ZIP or RAR files or else they are Sims2Pack files. The latter you double click to install and they find their own way to where they need to be. ZIPs and RARs need to be extracted to a folder called Downloads (with a capital D and very important s) in My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\ If there isn't a folder called Downloads then you have to make one. Windows can extract ZIP files but RAR files need a separate program eg: winrar or 7-zip
