Fie on thee graphics card! (yet another graphics problem)

Well, I have searched the internet and have realized that once again I have no solution as to what to do with my Intel 82852/82855 Intel Graphics Card. I have downloaded and updated the newest drivers, but for some reason I could not complete the instillation. So, I went to another site and downloaded some other random driver that solved my problem temporarily. Now however, I start playing and randomly my game crashes (I currently only have the first Sims 2 installed, with patch). "Windows has detected and recovered from a device failure...". This particular problem hasn't happened before and I am baffled as to what the problem could be. Help anyone???? :(

Intel Graphics are not a card. It's a feature of the Intel Processor that handles graphics along with everything else.

82852/82855 is not in the list of supported Intel Graphics

    Code:
         * Intel Extreme Graphics (non-T&L; requires 2.0 GHz processor)
              o 82845, 82865, 82915
Note that even if you had the right numbers you still need 2.0 GHz processor and all the other stuff as well.

So, sorry, you need a new computer. :(

    But...but..

I have a 2.0 ghz processor, on this laptop...and my game worked splendidly before. I even checked on Intel and they said the game should have no problem working (hah, what a riot). Is there nothing I can do? Intel (R) Extreme 2 Graphics for Mobile....here, I'll go get more info, I have to restart quickly

    Vivi:

I'm getting the feeling you are using a laptop with the 855GM chipset right?
