Fansites invade Pet Convention for Sims 2 Last week, several fansites gathered at San Francisco to sit down and look at Pets. Due to circumstances beyond our control, WorldSims was not invited to particpate in this event, much to our disappointment. While I do respect Maxis' decision for deciding not to let us particpate, the rationale behind it appears to defy all logic. We tried, and all our attempts to send a representative was refused, denied flat out. In one instance, our request was responded in a somewhat pejorative manner, even though quite a few members of our team is based in Los Angeles, CA. In any case, our affiliate TheSimsZone (WOOT!) did manage to get in to get us a nice sneak peak as well as our partners over at SimsZone.de. We're still slowly getting around to those who went and getting the list together. Drat ... all those pics have gotten me drooling for the chance to get my hands on it. I was so going to resist. The Sims? They should've called the game The Borgs: Resistance Is Futile
I hate it when they release the pictures...I was sure I would'nt go crazy about it again. I've already got enough things to wait for... And I see they're having the strays again...darn it. I wasn't THAT annoyed with it, but I guess it makes the game more realistic--we had a family of kittens in the barn a few years ago. Besides, if there's nothing we don't like in the game it's a bit boring. I also noticed something about Lycanthropy...maybe I can turn my game into Underworld!
Well we know that gates are going to be lockable ... except you cannot gate a Sims' driveway Whatever happens we'll need a stray control hack (and hopefully a stray exterminator *ebil* ... if I let my sims have a pet the darn critter can get all its social needs from the "humans" in the house without running with a pack o' wild poopy things :rotfl:
