Mortal Enemies I've encountered something I don't think I would ever have seen without doing the Asylum challenge. SImply leaving them alone has a lot of interesting consequences. In my current group of eight (the Symptom Complex), I have a sim who has become mortal enemies with two others. She started it, both times - constantly poking and prodding and insulting the others, making them cry, over and over and over, until they slap her, and it erupts into a fistfight. The longer it goes on, the faster they reach the fistfight stage. Now there is burning hatred in their little thought balloons as they pass each other in the house. Weird and funny in a nasty way. The best part is that Typical Symptoms, who started it, is a skinny old lady with a white bun and Elizabethan dress, and her enemies, Rare Symptoms and a regular visitor, are young stocky men. She beats them up every time. Also, she is the Sim who spontaneously began making friends with the television. I'm wondering if she was crazy from the start - but why is she so hostile?! Not that I'm complaining.
Two of my Asylum patients became enemies with each other, and they had exactly forty-two fights with each other.
lol A little old lady beating up a tough guy. Love it! In my asylum challenge (which failed miserably because all patients died ) I had two pairs of sims that would beat each other up. One pair was a man and woman who hated each other for no apparent reason. I guess it was just a clash of personalities...and another pair (both male) who had both had a 'thing' with my sim and caught her with the other one. My favourite thing is when your sim has the want to see another sims ghost. LOL That's as close to wanting another person dead as you get in that game. Cracks me up every time. Cass.
In my asylum challenge (may all those oldsters rest in peace ), the caretaker Sim was the resident bully, which is odd. Then again, if you had three of your patients picking fights with you, wouldn't you fight back? I also had a catfight with two women towards the end...that was lovely. I played the house after the challenge and I was able to do all the things I normally don't do with my Sims. ---I cheated and plopped down a cowplant, and fed Goopy to it. I got rid of it after it ate a townie. RIP Donte Lillard. ---Depending on the relationships, I noticed that Goopy's roommates either wanted him a zombie or wanted him alive again. ---I was able to satisfy the Romance Sims wants to have three lovers at once and three woohoos. Eewww ---I married Christy Stratton to Abhijeet, and then two Sim days later they were divorced after she caught him smooching with Sandy Bruty. Ouchies. Before Christy could remarry Benjamin Long, he passed away and she went into aspiration failure. Same thing happened to Sandy when all her lovers died. ---I rebuilt the house and left all the stuff inside. Now whoever buys the haunted house gets a nicely refurbished house from all those fortune Sims.
Since I only play the game without cheats, I have to think about the programming rationale. I wonder if non-related roommate sims are more likely to dislike each other. The same ill-matched sim personalities will get along better if they are related, it seems, so the lack of "blood" relationship means all those little annoying habits (body odor, farting, dirty dishes) really get irritating. Also they get little weird crushes on each other for no apparent reason - just "chemistry." This all seems quite realistic to me. Not that I spent a lot of time in asylums, heh heh heh.
in the uni ep, Cassie, I've had sims who come up with the Want to drink another Sims milk (the cow plant eats people, in case you don't have uni) ^_^ It's only for Sims they hate or are 'furious' at, hehe
