are you using custom wallcoverings? if so, do you have the latest version of CEP? sometimes that's the problem.
Didn't this same problem arise with FFS? If you do a search for "Flashing red walls" I think you'll find it. I can't remember if this was fixed with a patch or if there was a workaround, but it might be worth a peek. I'm pretty sure Mirelly posted the solution.

I get an Issue when i place ponds the water is red, its not anything big, but i dont think i have any graphics problems, all my ATI drivers are up to date. I dont really use the ponds in my houses anyway.
