Joe and Ania Harcourt are expecting Just thought I'd share. I'm a day too early to announce any births. I was thinking that I'd like to see what happened when the Errol Waring and Iven Harcourt genes combined through their children, Joe and Ania. So I went back to visit a neighborhood I haven't visited in quite a while. (I'd forgotten how cute Joe is. ) They're doing it the old fashioned way without benefit of any cheats, so I've at least another sim day to wait before the formal announcement. I'm hoping it'll be a boy. Destined for more adventures, if so. (For the new members, Errol and Harcourt are time traveling buddies in one of my stories, I,Sim, an old thread buried around here somewhere.) p.s. I haven't set Andromeda's story aside. It just requires more brainwork than I was capable of giving it late last night. So I went to visit Iven's Kingdom.
It's a girl, folks. With Grandma Kate and Momma Ania's red hair. Looks like she got Joe's brown eyes. But I also suspect she got Grandpa Errol's nose. Time will tell. Naturally, I took a picture of King Joe examing his little princess. And also a close-up of the newborn. No biggy there, she looks like all newborns. Princess Simone is, however, destined for many adventures.
I think she'll probably start off spoiled rotten because of doting parents who give her everything and anything she wants. Then something should happen, like being carried off by vagabonds. Of course, one of them will be a really cute guy who doesn't believe she's actually a princess. :ducks: Well, I gotta go check in on Andy and Cory.
If you want to see some really awesome pictures, go read Andromeda Rose. If you want to see some awesome sims, go read Porta de Luca. That one'll get you hooked, no kidding, on the stories at Worldsims. As for uploading pictures, first you click Post Reply. Under the Reply to Thread screen is Additional Options. Click on the Manage Attachments. Then click on one of the Browse buttons to search your harddrive for game pictures (under My Documents, EA Games, The Sims 2, Neighborhoods, Storytelling.) Click on a picture you want to share with us. Click Upload. Submit your reply (being sure, of course, to say a few words about the picture.) Notes: (1) Snapshots are bigger and easier to see than Thumbnails. (2) Click the View Menu button in the browse screen and choose "thumbnails" to see what the snapshots look like. (3) Before doing all of this I do find it infinitely easier to COPY (NOT move) game pictures to a file on the desktop when I intend to upload them, because there are hundreds (even thousands ) in my neighborhood storytelling folder. (4) Finally, you have to actually TAKE pictures during the game if you want to find any in the storytelling folder. Use the C on your keyboard to take pictures.
OOO i get it..thanks for them tips!!=D a lot are giving me hints on here...sometimes i just dont read things cofrrectly..bt thankyou!
It's weird. My Sims seem to always have baby girls. Ive only had maybe 2 boys. The only way I can get a boy is if I create a brand new family with a boy toddler.
Whereas I have just the opposite. In my current generation boys outnumber girls two to one. I think it's completely random, though there has been some speculation that boys are more likely ... however your game would seem to refute that.
Well, SBW, my sim babies will never be competition for yours. Simone has Joe's eyes and Ania's (and Errol's) face. We shall see. We shall see. Poor kid.
Hey, she could still improve ... and not all of my sims are cute, either. The du Mauriers all have really small noses. If I were going to make Spike again I'd give him a bigger honker, more like the one the RL actor has. And Emily Kane, who has the world's most gorgeous parents, looks like her grandfather Dante. I'm hoping she'll outgrow her enormous jaw.
I know everyone's busy raising kittens and puppies but here's Princess Simone again, as a child. Don't know exactly why I'm sharing this little kid with y'all. Probably because I haven't gotten any new pictures from California of my REAL granddaughter. Simone is the stunt double.
That's what I think. Curiously, the little bags under Joe's eyes were something I added, a download, under the facepaint screen (as in go to the mirror and Change Appearance.) I thought it added some character to his otherwise bland face. But the baby was born with them. When she reached the age of toddler, I had Mom carry her over to the mirror, to get rid of the bags under the baby's eyes, thinking she'd inherited the download. Go back and look at the toddler's picture and you can see why I wanted to get rid of them. They're awful. But nope. No face paint on the toddler at all. I didn't check on it when she reached school age. But if it wasn't facepaint as a toddler it probably isn't now, either. Just strange, I think, for a baby to inherit something like that. Oh, and one more thing. Ania is pregnant again. She and Joe both want another baby and I thought it would be a good idea to give Simone a sibling to play with. Not may children in that kingdom.
For some reason one of my brother's Sim's offspring inherited facepaint earrings from somebody. He was like "How'd those get there? " Also, my brother's Sim's offspring aren't very lovely-looking either. I need to take pictures! That Garko fellow keeps making babies with Jan Tellerman. They now have FIVE children in the household, one being adopted! The adopted one's the cutest one imo... Anyway I still think Simone looks cute. It's a nice mixture of Harcourt and Errol
Thanks, Chee-Z. It will be interesting to see how she grows. With the second baby I'm going to do what others have suggested, which is to exit without saving if the baby's a girl, then go back into the household to see if I can get a baby boy. I've always taken whatever I got before now, but sheesh, I just think Errol's face will look better on a boy. Meanwhile, back to Andromeda's world... (Oh, and if you get the pictures you're talking about, post 'em here if there isn't any room anywhere else.)
