Have a look online for house floor plans. You can build some amazing houses for your sims using those floor plans you find online. Cass.
Good for you! And yea, also google images of different kinds of house styles - victorian, modern etc. Have fun
CONGRATS! yep totally true im addicted too hehe! Are you thinking from scratch? On the neighborhood you will find somewhere with blank (in color green) rectangular, squared shapes for a hmes you can build from scratch. Enjoy!
thanks soo much im starting from scratch iv just built my first home now its only small (got to watch the budget lol) ill put a picture up and tell me what you think thanks:>
I am sure it is soo neat=D if you ever need further help just pm me I find roofs the hardest to put on the home! LOL! Are you using the cheat code so you can build a home bigger with a lot more stuff in it?
I like to start small, but designing the house in such a way that I can easily add on as my Sims make more money. For example, I often have them start out building just the foundation and basement first - so they live in what looks to be a bomb shelter. But as they earn more money, I add on a first floor (that would be the ground floor for our British friends)...then the second story...then maybe they would expand out the back...You get the picture. Or maybe I'd start them out in a very SMALL cottage at the back of the property, until they have enough money saved to start building the main house. Then the cottage becomes a garden shed, or guest cottage, or even a play house for the kids... Somethimes, it takes a couple of generations to build up the house I have in mind in the beginning, but then that's half the fun! I have used money cheats in the past in order to build dream homes for my sims right away, but for me, it soon gets kind of boring if they have everything, and there's nothing else for them to work for... That's my advice, anyway...Start small and build up over time.
