    Stupid Home Business!!!

I am almost fed up with my home business. No matter how hard I try there are always customers who have negative five red stars!!! I try to show them things, offer them things cheap-I dont know what else to do. All they do is complain. I have a bathroom, the place looks nice and there are even decorative pictures that are not for sale to raise the environment. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to make these customers happy?

There are some customers who are much happier if you just ask them to leave when they enter the store. Then you can get the ones who actually want to purchase something and are less likely to complain. (Odd way to look at it and certainly not something you can do in real life.)

If it is a customer you really *want* to have, one thing that helps is to have a high relationship score with them. The lower the relationship score with a customer, the less likely the customer is to be happy in any interaction. Playing kickyball (which I hate having in my businesses but is effective) works well to bring up relationship scores, especially if it is between a customer and one of the employees. (So I guess when they start up their own kickyball game with an employee, let them continue it.) Also have your Sim call the person when they aren't at work to so that they can further improve the relationshiop. (And if all else fails, there is "max motives.")

Ask anyone who is in the furious state to leave and if there are two customers who hate each other or are furious with the other, ask one of them to leave as fights and having a "Furious" reaction to seeing someone will bring down loyalty scores.

The other thing you can do is make sure that your employees are all well trained (especially the one at the register and any sales personnel) and happy. One of the most common things that will set off a customer is if they have to wait in line.

Also, some personalities set off customers. Keep anyone who is grouchy away from working in your store. The more nice points an employee has, the easier he'll get along with others.

If you can get enough positive stars so that your owner has customer loyalty perks, pick the ones that help pick out good customers (less likely to be fussy) such as the assess mood, assess desire and look for mark. This line of perks really can help get help to the Sims who want it, can help you tell *what* they want and lets you have a better idea of who to say "go home" to before they cause trouble.

Thanx a bunch. I will keep all of this in mind. One thing though is that I have asked some customers to leave and it never worked. I got the impression that you cant ask customers to leave.

That's odd. I frequently ask some customers to leave. For instance, I had a couple of teenager Townies who seemed to always come into this one store and get in everyone's way with either kicky ball or with a pillow fight, and not in the mood to do any shopping. I've had my Sim ask them to leave and they do. Then a different group of Sims can come and actually do some shopping.
