I think the new pool interaction seems really fun! How do you make sims play marco polo and do the "hide" or sneak thing? Is it a prank?
Wishing well is a reward for being part of the garden club; you have to get a score of 700 or more to get it. Scarecrow is under decrotive/sculptures; and just a hint...view the scarecrow, there is a remote chance that something might happen but I won't ruin the surprise. While your sim is swimming click on anyone and the option to play marco-polo comes up. They go under water or sneak out of the pool on their own while playing; just part of the marco-polo game.
I finally got the game!! I went to the mall today and saw it on sale at the store By far Im only in the winter stage (loving it btw ) But sadly, my sims cant seem to build the snowman. Ive read at the BBS that it only happens if theres enough snow on the ground, and the snow preety much covered half my plants, is that considered not enough of snow? Or am I stuck with a bug? :(
After a long day of shopping I returned home to find my Seasons game had finally been delivered. I've just installed it after making a backup of my game. Play.com still hasn't sent my Prima Guide yet but I guess I can always bug Shana. I have a question though - when I looked at the graphics options it had set everything to the lowest setting and disabled things like reflections. It's the first time that's happened (and I have all the EPs) - has this been done as a default (I know, I'm clutching at straws here ) or basically do I need a better graphics card? I currently have a Radeon X300 card. So far I have visited Riverblossom Hills but not played it yet - just admired all that lovely white stuff aka snow. I'm about to play my custom nhood and think I will keep it set to the default seasons. I like the idea that you can set the season rotation to whatever you like. I also like the hairstyle options too - it would save having to make the effort to change hair for each clothing activity eg working out/ formal. It also means I can plan to show off some of the fantastic hair that I've downloaded rather that just sticking with one style per sim. Cool feature. That's all for now - am going to explore the game.
It's just as I expected - The best EP ever! I love the snow, I love the thunderstorms, I love how the leaves change... I could go on forever. It's the only EP that has made me this obsessed with the game, in fact I'm more obsessed then I was when I first got the game. XD
I just got it today, and emptied my download folder.... I'm adding things back one at a time to see wjay will work... SOOOOO excited. But anyone have tips on making an awesome garden? All my trees are sickly.
Thanks, Shana! Now I'll be sure to join. I found the scarecrow but haven't used him yet. Most of my sims are currently heading into fall. I'll wait until the spring ... I've got a lot of sims so it's going slowly, but I'm enjoying discovering all the new things they can do. I'm playing without hacks at the moment. I may get rid of a lot of them, and most of my downloaded furniture that requires new meshes. There are only a few pieces I "can't live without," now that there are so many cute things in the game itself.
I installed the game. It took a million years to clickity-clack through everything before it got around to asking me if I wanted to play. I went to Veronaville and the Larson household. That brother/sister pair came with one of the EPs and I use them to test things. A glitch right off the bat. A dresser was glowing blue even though it is one of the Maxis dressers and not even a recolor. My guess: I had used the Larsons to test OFB features, and set up a home business as a junk shop. They sold everything they could afford to buy, even their own furniture. That dresser was not a download or recolor, but there are recolors available in my game now, and the CEP download probably needs updating. I tried deleting the dresser. The buy mode locked up. I wasted a couple of minutes waving a useless curser around, unable to grab anything, until it unlocked, all on its own, and I backed out of the household. I moved the Larsons to a completely new house. No more glowing furniture. So far. I haven't visited anyone else, yet. Has anyone else had issues with glowing blue furniture, or stuff that needs the CEP download?
So far my feelings are mixed. I have had a lot problems with a university household. All romance options disappeared! The season appears to be stuck ... the last time I loaded up I swear I heard [SIZE=-1]Justin Hayward's dulcet tones ... [/SIZE] A gentle rain falls softly on my weary eyes As if to hide a lonely tear... My life will be forever autumn 'Cause you're not here! Meanwhile over in Riverblossom, where hope is springing but not -- thankfully -- eternally, the new fruit trees seem a wee bit prone to getting stuck in sickliness with no options to remedy the situation ... but maybe I just need more patience. I like the thunder though
Maybe your graphic card isn't compatible with this EP? There's an info page on seasons located at the inseminator website, which listed down the graphics card which have problems with the game. Lynet, a lot of my stuff started glowing too. I just deleted it and bought new and everything's fine. I think some stuff that has recolors is a little wonky. Some of it works and some doesn't. Plus my "Paul Revere" windows disappeared. I think it's because McTricky messed them up with a recolor. I'm going to try to play with custom enabled and see if they come back.
Yea I just got seasons. Its a cool expansion. Grow gardens, Build snowmen, go fishing, go ice skating, and you can see the lot across the road, as well as the forest behind your lot. I love the thunder storms. having trouble growing things though. I dont have a green thumb I'm hooked. regards Moon
I bought seasons yesterday and I am loving it. I have had UNi and OFB and this is so far my favorite expansion pack. It has so much new stuff! I do have a question though. My sim was pregnant and it was snowing outside. I told her to go outside and she didnt change into winterwear! Do pregnant sims not have winter clothes???
I think you have to get a wardrobe. Then click on it and chose outer ware. Some times in winter its not cold enough to change clothing. Or work clothing is OK. Make sure you watch the Temperature. Once you chose the outer ware your sim will use it every winter. If you don't like the clothing, then send them to the boutique to buy something that you might like. I also noticed that you could only invite two party guests. There is a cheat on the web to allow 8. intProp maxNumberofVisitingSims 08 Type exactly as you see it here. Thats only if you want it. I haven't had any troubles with it. But be careful to back up your sims folder, just in case. I hope I was allowed to post this cheat. Not to sure of the rules. regards moon
Can you go ice-skating on community lots if you don't have a pond? That is, if it's snowing hard at my house, and I go to the park, will the pond be frozen? Can you fall through if the ice isn't thick enough? (I hope so)
As far as I know you can only skate on skating rinks. I have sims with ponds and they don't get any action options if the pond is frozen. If you have a big enough yard you can guy a rink and put it next to your pond.
