How do I: Merge sims to a single lot Hello everyone, this is my first post here, and I have a question to ask about the Sims . I have just the original game, and I've been wondering if it is possible to have one member of a "family" move out of a lot, and then move into a lot with a different "family" already on it. For example If I have two different sims from two different families, can I move them in together without having them get married or anything like that. Obviously I wouldn't want two straight roomates of the same sex moving in together by having to get them married . Is it possible to have sims move in and out of their friend's houses whenever they want, if so how does that work? Thanks in advance for your guys help
You first have to have one of your sims become friends with one in the other family. Its easy. Play the other family and keep talking to the other sim on the phone or envite them over and chat a lot. when friendship reaches 100 invite that sim over. Then propose to that sim to move in. when this happens a window opens with all their family members to move in with them. Just don't chose any members. And bingo you have a new household member. Just remember not to flirt or kiss while this is happening. regards Moon
That's not entirely everything. Most sims won't move in unless they are best friends with the person asking. Therefore, just having 100 daily friendship isn't going to help. They need to be at least at 50 LIFETIME relationship (i.e. best friends) before the other person will accept moving in.
Yes I forgot to add that one 50 LIFTIME relationship. However most times when I have gotten 100 points by phone, I have reached that 50% liftime relationship. regards moon
This might not be the answer that you're looking for here and you already have such nice answers from Odin and Meg. But I thought I'd just ad this as well :winks:: If you have Uni, you can move a sim into another house from the simbin (this is what I call the place where all your families turn up after you've made them or moved them out). For exaple: you can move a whole family into a house that already is occupied by a family (I did this once. Those two families didn't get a long at all.. Memories, eh? *LOL*). You don't have to make a new sim just to move them into another lot, either, that's not what I'm getting at. What I mean is that you can make a member of another family "Find a new place" in a newspaper or on the computer and they will get chucked to the simbin and vol (<- I think you spell it like that, anyway :silly you can have your simmie move into any lot you want with another person already in it... IF you have Uni.
Not to nitpick, but just last night I had 2 sims get to 100 daily relationship and they only had 3 lifetime relationship. Chemistry is wonderful for building up a friendship quickly, but she still wouldn't have moved in until they were best friends.
To me any information is useful. And the more input on posts means a bigger picture. I suppose it has a lot to do with aspirations and life goals. lol. When I play, I always talk to sims on the phone and have lots of party's. I haven't had problems moving sims mainly because my tact was. Find a rich sim, make friends, Have a relationship with one of them. Then play them, Then envite me, then propose to me to move in. Once I have moved in, I then marry and make the rest of the family move out. I think they do that in Hollywood. regards moon
