oops Is there a way to change a sims name? because my sim had twins and i must have been really tired when i choose the names because i must have put the names in the wrong boxes. they just grew up into toddlers and i now have a boy called elle and a girl called jack :S if i cant does anyone have a suggestion what i should do?
You can use the tombstone of Life and Death to change their first names. Open up the cheat box and type "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true" shift-click on any adult sim select "more" select "spawn" select "Tombstone of L and D" The tombstone will appear next to your sim, once you have it type "boolprop testingcheatsenabled false" You can put it wherever you want and it has an option to "Rename sim". You can delete it after you've used it or keep it there it doesn't really matter either way.
Whoever it is you want to change the name of, make them your active sim and then click on the tombstone, it will be their name that gets changed.
The insiminator also lets you change a sim's name. Shhh ... But I think those names are funny! Maybe you should keep them.
Sure. You could think of Jack as being a nickname for Jacqueline, and Elle as a nickname for Elton. Sims 2 is the place to have fun with names.
You can tell me that again. I acutally didn't know about the tombstone cheat. Gotta write that one down somewhere.. *starts sorting the monstrously large pile of papers on my desk* Darn, I should really clean that up properly some day... But not today - or tomorrow. :silly:
I think Merola's Multi-Painting also allows you to change the name of a sim -- I'm not at home to test that now, but I'm pretty sure it does -- And it's much easier and safer than the BoolPropTesting cheat! I believe you can get it at ModtheSims2.com, but if you Google it, you should be able to locate the site for sure...
I never had any problems with boolprop... Is there any way to edit a Sim's last name using some kind of boolprop thing? There are so many spawns that it takes forever to go through all of them...
