Child's surname My Grandsim has recently married Dina and taken my Grandsims last name (Stratton). Anyway, before they got married, Dina and Oliver (Grandsim) had a kid which took the name of Caliente (Dina's last name). Now that Dina has got married and taken the name of Stratton, my kid's last name is still Caliente. Is there anyway of changing this?
I've had that happen to me. I've just waited until the kid was old enough to get married to change it. Obviously if it's a girl it can be changed to a spouse's name and the same with a guy. You can use mods to change it but I haven't done it.
There is a program called simPE. However i used it once and can't remember how to use it again. But I'm sure there is a tut somewhere. You can change a lot of things with it. There was a post somewhere on this site with a link to the Tutorial. You can change names with it. Its been a while so someone here might be able to help with the link. Or just Goggle it. If I remember correctly its on ModTheSims forum. Just found the link. http://sims.ambertation.de/ WARNIG read the tutorials first before attempting any change anything. and backup. Cheers for the replied guys. I've just thought that it is a woman, so changing the surname now would serve no purpose as once she gets married, her name will change anyway. I might look into this programs and see what other stuff you can change with them.
Christianlov at MTS2 used to have a last name copier that could change a last name to that of another sim...helpful for sims who want to adopt their step-children! I love this particular hack. Unfortunatly Christianlov "packed up all his stuff and left" from MTS2 so if it ever needs updates you probably won't find one unless someone creates a new hack for it.
