Max Guests and Forever Baby I got a new computer a little over 6 months ago. I installed The Sims 2 on it with Pets (and now, Seasons) and when I could first throw a party, it said I could invite up to 5 guests (with my older computer before, I could only invite 2) so I was really excited about that. Well, I made a new family, Justin and Myra Timberlake (made up Myra) and moved them into a smallish house but with nice stuff. I have them throw a party since they are Popularity sims, but it said I could only invite 2 people? So did the number go down due to getting Seasons or becuase of all the stuff in their house? When I first made them I thought "Yes, wild parties with alot of people!" and now it seems like more of a "get-together" with only 2 people to invite. Also, as a side note, I also have a Faery family. They have a baby, but whenever I try to make it grow up, it wouldn't, no matter how many cakes I bought and had them blow out candles each time. So...I deleted the baby, made the couple get pregnant again, and used boolprop to speed up her pregnancy to make up for the time lost with the other baby. So, she has a baby, and I make it grow up into a toddler, like what would have happened if that other baby had grown up. Later, I save and exit the game. Next time I go into their house, the first baby is laying on the sidewalk!! I guess you can't just delete family members? And it did grow up finally, so now I have two toddlers
I've never quite figured out why some folks can invite a lot and others only a few unless it depends on how many people they are already friends with? and it sounds like you may have had a stuck baby and what you did is what they recomend to free them up. and yes by the mailbox is the standard return point.
i think it's random. i've been able to invite 2 or 8 on the same lot. typing with kitten in one hand, lol, forgive no caps plz.
Well there is a cheat that you can use that makes you able to invite more sims to your parties; intProp maxNumOfVisitingSims <number> I haven't tried it myself, though, because I'm always able to invite 7 or 8 guests to parties. So I don't know if it will work, but lets keep our fingers crossed! EDIT: You have to use the cheat in your neighbourhood screen. (Almost forgot that then. :relieved
