Questions re: Robots and the LOVE Potion...

HA! Now that I've got your attention, just a couple of quick questions...

    1) Before I go risking my children to the social worker, if you've got a Servo on the lot, does he/she stand in as an adult, so that I can leave the kiddies home with the robot and not risk "reposession" by the social worker? (I'd REALLY like to fire the nanny...she's set the kitchen on fire twice, and keeps leaving the baby on the ground outside the locked door of the root cellar!)

    2) What exactly does the Love Potion do - and do both Sims need to imbibe, or will the effects (whatever they are) work if only one sim takes it?

The love potion makes it easier for a sim to flirt with others and other sims won't be able to resist it. I've used love potions many times and never have my flirting victims gotten mad at my sim for being too forward when they've drunken that potion. Only one sim has to take the potion for it to work (usually the one that's doing all the flirting).

But beware! Sometimes the potion backfires and instead of flowers popping up from the ground where ever the sim walks, mushrooms do instead. I think this makes the love potion do the opposite of what it was supposed to do. So if you ever see mushrooms popping up out of the ground at your sim's feet, run very far and don't look back!! :silly:
But the potion rarely backfires. This has only happened one time for me with a cheating romance sim. I have no idea what triggered the backfire - maybe romance sims and love potions don't mix? They might have to rely on their dashing looks instead of potions.

To answer it simply: Yes; robots count as an adult sim. They can even adopt children if they live on their own.

Can robots get jobs like adult sims?

I have a family with 2 servos who are married to each other. Servos not only make good nannies, they are also excellent gardeners, as they get tired a lot less often than sims do.

And, you can send 'em off to work for some extra income. :D

Wont that be against some kind of labour laws? :p

Anyway, if you have two servos, is it possible to have them like, er reproduce?

They can only adopt. Or teach them robotics so they can make sevos.:)
