If it crawls or flies towards me, I don't like it and I avoid it. That pretty much covers a lot of creatures lol. I don't have pets because I'm allergic to most. I guess my favourite animal would be the chimpanzee. Considering I was a science major at uni, I have an appalling recollection of all things biological lol. I can't remember the names of many plants but I know what I like. I'm especially fond of trees and forests. In terms of the weather, I absolutely love autumn and winter. The autumn colours and the quality of light makes me fuzzy inside. I love to watch rainfall and snowfall. I could stare at the snow in the countryside, on the trees and hills, all day long. My ideal 'nature' day would be to stay at a log cabin in the countryside, in winter, watching the snow falling, with a hot cuppa, roaring fire and a comfy couch to snuggle in with my fiance.
That's right Hugz. Sounds like great to me too! The fire and that I mean. For the crawling and flying and creeping thingys... Well. There's some I'm not very fond of, but I like insects like bumble bees, honey bees etc. I don't really like wasps or nats or mosquitos. But on the other hand - without all these insects humans wouldn't survive long at all. Read something about it not too long ago. So I guess we're "stuck" eith them. And we should take care of them as they are the resource for so many other animals, who is the resource for other animals... and so on... and that makes it possible for the humans to get food.... Chimps are SO cute, and intelligent. So are most of the apes. Unfortunately a lot of them are very near extinction. Like the wild black Rhino... There's NONE left in the wild now. The last have been shot by pouchers (spelling?) And just for the horns sake.. The only black rhinos left are now in the zoo parks. The horns are made into some kind of "viagra" and sold for loads of money. It's so sad. The Gorillas in the wild, the big Panda and many more of the wild animals are near extinction.. Humans are SO greedy and thoughtless. And most only think about short-term solutions... So the result is that everything will be scares and we're well on our way to permanently kill our planet in so many different ways. It makes me sad...
