What type of verbs will you have?

In Will's presentation he spoke of making verbs though combining movements like, bite+walk backwards= drag. Some of my ideas were like fly fast + go down + attack = dive attack, that kind of thing...so tell me what you think.

I rather doubt digging will be possible.

As for flying attacks, I'm pretty sure they will be automatically made when it comes to fighting/hunting. We really don't know how it works (whether it is controlled by the player or not), but there's apparently a chance of failure.

    Walk + Chew gum

Lets you know if your creatures need more brains or not.

I think that WW's comment has been mistaken. What he meant, I believe, is simply that one's creature can mix different animations and thus do a few different things at once, within reason. For example, the creatures wouldn't be able to walk AND beat the drum at the same time, but they could walk and carry a spear at the same time; it's just a combination of simple animations, not making whole new sequences.

I agree with that, i don't think it is possible to create new movement/actions combinations with a certain sequence that you determinded...

Oh of course that's what he was talking about, he was just showing how complex and diverse the procedural animation is. You most likely will have no control over it, its' pretty much just a neat little tidbit of info that people took out of context.

Still, I think there should be a walk/chew gum test so you can see if the creature you've made is an idiot or not.
