Who all is bored? I am in DIgital photo and we have a sub and we are watvhing a hecka boring movie... so everyone is on their computers doing anything, one girl is looking at shoes and the jocks are playing games...:bandit: sneeky...
LOL that is so full of cultural schlock I don't know where to begin. That's a class, right? Ooh! Is it a yellow one? (Cos I am soooooo old, yeah? ) So, really ... this means, what, exactly? Ah, those'll be the knuckleheads signed up for a major because of their ability to deliver sports trophies to the college display case ... You just wait until your graduation is further behind you than your first birthday is now ... believe me, boredom gets industrial strength. I'd give my right liver and both spleens to have some good old-fashioned classroom boredom again ....
LOL ... I didn't actually. Here, we call subs: "supply teachers" ... they are either hired in from an agency or else sent in by the education dept from a "supply" of retained staff kept for such relief work (to keep down the cost of using commercial agency staff). And there was me thinking that the Americans had the forefront position in euphemistic job descriptions. We seem to have eclipsed them of late. These days, no one is a temp. or a sub. in Britland. Temporary/agency nurses are "bank" nurses (the bank is sort of self-explanatory). Even that old stand by scapegoat for all mishaps which can plague an office: the temp is now more grandiosly referred to as "The Agency Girl" ... um ... unless of course, she's a fella ... I'm quitting now before my other foot joins its partner in me gob.
