Attempting to avert uglyness in multi-level floors and stair flights.

So I've been working on a new building project recently that I hope to set up as a complete Uni town. Unfortunately, the primary building I have been working on has been nothing short of a pain in the rear to get going due to one small, but major feature that is required.

The building consists of 3 'functional' floors, no basement. But the stairs to get between them consist of sets of 3 flights per floor as seen here. Unfortunately, to build said flights, the game sees each individual landing as a floor so I have something like 10 floors now for the 3 'functional' floors. And this makes it an absolute BOAR to do any building in the rest of the structure cause it constantly upsets the floor elevation everywhere.

I'm just curious if anyone has any possible solutions for the dilemma. Thankfully the stairwell is pretty well separated from the main building, but still detached. I've been trying to think of a way to physically separate them, but have come up empty mostly.

For what it is worth, I admire your patience in even starting to build like that. I tried something similar but soon abandoned all thoughts of similar stairs because those one tile half-landings are absolutely certain to cause a traffic jam than cannot be resolved without using moveobjects to pick up the stuck sims and move them. Especillay for a Uni lot which will definitely be plagued with cheerleaders, mascots, streakers, coaches etc. who all insist on traipsing all over the lot looking for someone to harrass.

I just stick to using the OFB staging to make stairs turn, but I always have at least 4 squares of it for the turn so sims can't get stuck ... the end result uses up more space then a straight stair

Thanks. Yeah. Wouldn't imagine how many times I had to restart building because I missed something to get the modular stairs on each floor working correctly.

Yeah. I've been making an attempt at that. Sadly I can neither find the staging option or find anything mentioning it anywhere. I only assume from the sounds of it, it'd make things MUCH simpler than working with boolprop and forced wall elevations.
