Multiple Problems I have Windows XP and the CD version on The Sims 2 game. My game runs very slowly and jerks a lot when I try to move across the screen. I suspect that this is because I do not have a lot of space on my computer for this game however I unistalled every other game that I had and reinstalled the Sims 2 multiple times, it still does not work as it should. Also after I installed the Sims 2 Pets onto my computer, the pools started showing up red, and when I tried to build a house the land would turn to water and there would be no land. I uninstalled The Sims 2 pets and it is still uninstalled but the problem still exists with The regular Sims 2 even though it never existed before on that specific game. Lastly I was just playing on The Sims 2, (even though it has issues) and I tried to order groceries. A screen popped up saying there was a error with the delivery truck, and something about a tree break. It then showed the place where the file was saved and it gave the option of reset, cancel or delete. I clicked cancel and reset multiple time but it kept popping up so I had to end the game which wasnt responding. Another issue with my game includes the kids not going to school when I click on the school bus and the parents not going to work when I click on the carpools. The hard drive on my computer is failing and that might be the issue, but the other issue with the slowness and the red water issue have been present since the very beginning when I purchased the game a couple years ago. I know my game has issues since my friend has The Sims 2 with all the eps and she can zip around the page, while mine goes an inch a minute. The slowness and the red water issue are probably the cause of an old graphics card that is struggling with your game. In fact, it sounds like you are in need of a whole new computer. How old is the computer you have (if you know the specs, you can post them)?
