    Earthquake Rocks Midwest US

So an earthquake rocked the midwest this morning. 5.2 magnitude earthquake :D

Calling all our midwest members! Did you feel it? Any damage? Where you asleep at the time? If you were, did you wake up because of it? What did it feel like? :D

If another one happened tonight, would you be better prepared? :)

Well, I'm not from the US, but we did have an earthquake in the UK several weeks ago. I was in hospital at the time, it was almost 1am when it happened and I had just had surgery the day before. I was awake anyway and suddenly felt like someone was pushing my bed back and forth really firmly. (Thought it was one of the nurses trying to move my bed to another ward and they forgot to release the brake or something, stupid I know lol). My IV drip stand was rattling across the floor too. Didn't exactly enjoy shaking backwards and forwards though after surgery. Most of the other ladies on the ward slept through it. :p

A family member was in another hospital 30 miles away giving birth at the time, and she felt it too! :p

Well we had one years ago 100km away which is roughly 50 Miles to Americans.

I was feeding my Fish at the time and noticed the water swirling from side to side.. I heard a bit of concrete crack. I thought a Truck hit the building.
My poor uncle who was in Newcastle were it hit, was crushed under his 2 story house. Luckily he survived. His Acubra hat saved his life because it stopped the sharp edge of broken Bricks cutting his Brain. He is deaf in one ear now and was made a little retarded. However he is OK. Many died in that one.

What earthquake? The midwest technically includes Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. Where in the midwest?

I live in Minnesota, and I didn't feel anything.

Hehe...I was thinking the same thing! What part of the midwest Josh?

Edit: Goggled it. Here is a link to one article on it. http://www.winknews.com/news/top/17915064.html We didn't feel it here in Minnesota. But parts of Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Georgia, Wisconsin and Ohio did.

Double edit: Found another really interesting article on earthquakes and the midwest. http://www.sixwise.com/newsletters/...n_will_the_big_earthquake_hit_the_midwest.htm
