Menus not staying up after clicked [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, Sans-serif]I've posted this question all over the internet and so far, nothing has helped. :( I'm not really sure how to explain this but when I click on something for my sim to interact with it the menu comes up (like it's supposed to) but it's not staying long enough for me to make a selection....at times it even stays up for only a split second. I can't get my sim to do anything. [/FONT] [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, Sans-serif]So here's what I've done: [/FONT] [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, Sans-serif]1. Removed ALL custom content from the game; sims, neighborhoods, downloads 2. Created a back up and let the launcher create new files 3. Restarted my computer several times 4. Tried to play in different lots and neighborhoods 5. Defragged my hard drive 6. Ran my anti-virus 7. Uninstalled some programs that weren't used anymore, deleted associated files/folders, and ran defrag again 8. Changed/lowered graphics settings in the game [/FONT] [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, Sans-serif] [/FONT] [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, Sans-serif]I believe that's it. It's still doing the same thing. It started out of the blue also. I was playing (and had been for most of the afternoon) when it started. It's almost like a lag thing...but I've got nothing else running and the game is on normal speed. I'd rather not re-install the game ... because it's a pain (and honestly, I don't think it will work /sigh). This happened to me in the last two days, actually. It might not be the same for you, but I figured out the Sims was acting as if my mouse was clicking twice. So, for example, when I would click to go up a level in a building, it would go up two. When I clicked an item to use it would click it twice, thus closing the menu. I have no idea why it is doing this, and no other program/game on my computer is doing this. But, you are not alone.
