Autumn and Thanksgiving Parties!! What sort of decorations does everyone do for Autumn and Thanksgiving Parties?
Hahahaha... When the season changes to Autumn I usually change all my linens, curtains and decorations to a blue/green theme. So, when Thanksgiving starts I just have to place a few decorations that have all the colors of Autumn leaves. It is never good to overdo the decorations...from experience...:biggrin:
Mine's pretty simple... just add lighted pumpkins (not the real one with a bulb in it, eh) and pretty much vegetables in season. I'm more of a simple person for autumn... Thanksgiving is obviously a large turkey, but no pumpkin pie (surprise, surprise) -- I serve instead either mashed potato or rice, plus a beef or chicken dish from my home country, the Philippines. I'd better be getting ready for Christmas instead -- a large Christmas tree, complete with lights and an angel, plus a Philippine lantern and some front decoration to make the festive season more special... the most important part encompassing all those is the presence of my family, that's all I really want. My family just being there for me every step of the way is one thing I treasure all the time, and it's something I get in here too...
