Was the sims history.......or is there a bright future for this dying dinosaur?

I think the game is as fun/challenging as you want to make it. I don't want it to ever end. I do wish there was a way to expand it so the kids could grow up and move out to start lives of their own though.

Whoah! I just read the press release and it says that the sims will have DNA and be in 3D and GROW UP from toddlers to kids to teens to adults and even get older and retire! And their DNA will effect what their kids look like and what their personalities are like! And there will be facial expressions! And you'll FINALLY be able to build houses OVER two stories tall!! Cool!!!

Of course, the fact that it's in 3d with a new game engine and stuff means that it might not be so possible to make user created objects... so I kind of hope they might make some program that would let users easily skin the maxis 3d objects at least!!

I wonder if the relationships between parents and kids, ect. will mirror reality...

 

It said stuff about your sim being more aware of what KIND of relationship they are in with another sim, like the difference between platonic and romantic relationships... so I'm thinking the parent child interactions would be expanded too.

 

ok thats cool... but do they have oscars, grammys and the musical version of chicago?

 

Probably not... but if you really really REALLY want it that bad you might try going and downloading the sims Transmogrifier program and start trying to make the objects and skins you would need! If you don't think you could make all the stuff yourself, you could just think up the ideas for what objects and skins you would want and post them in the Objects and Skins forums here. *hint hint!*
