   xp taskbar
   
   I have xp and it won't remember the taskbar settings. Locking it doesn't work. How do I make it keep it's settings?

   I just restart the pc when it lags too much. Then the settings aren't the same. Is there something I have to check to save settings?

   It should save automatically. When you shutdown, it begins a logout procedure and saves settings.
   
   I'm thinking two things.
   
   1) System Restore
   2) Windows Update
