Sim Cheats for the Macintosh I've noticed the gameplay is different for us, as oppose to the P.C. Still - inspite that some skins can be loaded up to the Make-a-Sim, and Hacked items can be downloaded. There's just certain things you can do. We can't type rosebud - or look for buried treasure ? Why not have some ability to control your sim neighboor's mind ? Temathi
Better off getting hacked objects at "Sim Slice" unlike the P.C. - you can't just type in Rosebudd and expect something. Instead - download a hacked item. Easier that way.
you certainly can type rosebud, it's just ?+SHIFT+C to open up the cheats console, not CTRL+SHIFT+C on Windows
I tried "?+SHIFT+C", but that didn't do anything. Is this the correct key combination? Is there some area of the game you need to be in for this to work?
I'm sorry I used the command symbol when I was typing and appearantly it didn't show up. It should be [Command key]+SHIFT+C. I'm sorry for the confusion.
"COMMAND-SHIFT-C" has no effect either. I tried in Live mode, Buy mode, and Build mode, and nothing happened at all. I'm wondering if this was changed or removed in the full retail version 1.0, or I'm doing something wrong. Anything I'm missing? Is there any other way of getting into cheat mode? Does anyone know if this got changed?
I got it now. I fiddled around and checked another forum. The correct combination (at least for my version of Sims2) is [CONTROL]+SHIFT+C, not [command]+shift+c. For me, the "rosebud" cheat did not work, but "kaching" did. Some of the other cheats work and some do not.
rosebud in theory won't work because its the old sims cheat. Use the modern sims 2 cheats, ie. kaching or motherlode
I thought you were talking about The Sims 1. I'm sorry, I would have said kaching and motherlode. Wow, I feel stupid.
