    Graphics Problems

    System Specs:
    Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz
    512 megs of RAM
    GeForce Fx 5700 Ultra (61.77)
    DirectX 9.0c

Basically, the game will load and all menus, etc will display properly. I choose the community I wish to embark upon (i.e. pleaseantview.) At this point, the typical loading screen appears and eventually the music will start but the actual game doesn't render at all. The options box and controls in the bottom left corner are available but the loading screen stays kind of "burned" onto the screen instead of the actual community being displayed. Opening the options box causes that to remained "burned" onto the screen. By this I mean any action by me the user seems to leave the said action on the screen (accessing display properties, select family, etc,) and they overlay each other, flickering.

I'm using the latest DirectX and video drivers. I tried to re-install DirectX using the disc and it simply stated that it was "up to date" in more words and exited. I've also tried moving the dsetup.dll to c:\windows\system32 and compatibility modes. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Do you have the DVD or the CD version?

The DVD version seems to be causing a lot of problems for a lot of users. Let me know which version you have.
