During a sleepover, how do you get guest to sleep?

I can not figure out how to get a sleepover guest to actually go to bed. They just stay up all night and then get mad in the morning cuz I didn't let them sleep and they won't talk with me the rest of the day.

    Get your guest to sleep.

The sleepover function is there in assumption that your character is in a romantic relationship with your guest. Every time my sim has had his girlfriend sleep over, she just comes to bed when he gets in bed. But she's already been over for a while and her energy level is probably low. So, I think their energy level has to be below a certain point before they'll automatically crawl in bed with you. But you can try this... When you click the bed and select "sleep", while your sim is getting ready for bed, click your sleepover guest and select the option that says, "ask to join", and they should make their way over to the bed and hop in with you. Or... You and your guest can "woohoo" at night, and if you and your guest are tired enough, they will both fall asleep afterwards. ;)

I tried to get my sim to sleep over then shag him, but he didn't stay.

In fact, he left the shack, turned back around - came in and yelled at my sleeping sim - and then finally left.

    So obnoxious.

This is sleepover with teens right? Cause ive never had any trouble with adult sims staying the night.

The problem was only with teens. Do you need a double bed in order for them to sleep? I only had my teen sleeping in a single bed. Maybe that was the problem. Thanks for helping though.:)

I've tried sleepovers with teens several different ways, same sex and opposite sex but always best friends. Double beds, spare beds, spare beds in spare rooms. Never got a teen sim to sleep the night, even loungers ... nothing works. Teen sims won't sleep. Had ope t'other day who spent half the night at fridge starting to but not actually opening the fridge (couldn't have really been hungry cos she'd eat like a pig all evening :p -- she'd also trashed the bathroom leaving the bath and toilet filthy and stinking --- even making her BF clean up after her didn't put him off tho ... LOL)
She finished up at 4am raiding the trash can outside and stuffing her face with gross-looking bits fly-blown food. No wonder she has zits.

That last bit can be seen here The Wilson Family Album

Thast hilarious. I think that with teen sleepovers, they should all automatically have sleeping bags when the want to sleep. That would make sense wouldnt it?

    Worked for me

Actually, I had a Sim sleepover. Just entertained her as I could then the mother(of the family) cooked dinner for everybody & after she(the guest) was done eating, she went to bed. When she woke up in the morning, she split. Try entertaining them & feeding & they'll pretty much go to sleep

I have never had teens sleep over either, just adults. Usually, after you "Woo Hoo" they stay the night and sleep in the bed.

How odd that this thread is ressurrected today. I reloaded a game 3 times today. First I finally got hit by the jump bug so I exited and bunged in JMP's hack ... after this things went a bit hazy... cos I kinda forgot who was doing what to who ... but young Cory, a 3rd generation sim (my first) was gonna get the grow up option at 6 pm on a Friday night. Bliss! He could hit the energiser on the strength of his growing up ASP points and then get together with his big sister's friend ... ahem .. Mirelly. She's a CASiE teen who has been hanging around the hood pretty much annoying everyone she meets. She was in one of the first families I made to fill up the neighborhood and I haven't played that gamily more than a sim day or three. Anyway, she really seems to have hit it off with this particular family.

Anyway a couple of reloads later (cos I'm a total control freak and I hate it when a sim wastes a valuable hour) things were going great when I realized that I hadn't seen Mirelly since dinner at around 22:30. It's pushing 1am now and I'm curious. Looked up stairs ... nope not in the bathrooms. Checked outside. Nope not raiding the trashcan, nor in the pool or the spa. I'm starting to suspect that the miserable so & so has left without saying goodbye ... honestly the manners of some sims are a disgrace!

Hang on. Mom is there studying, and there's Dad working on his second novel. Here's Gaia washing the dishes and Cory is just coming out of the downstairs 'fresher ... so who the heck was that snoring when I looked upstairs. Yup it's my namesake. She's in Cory's bed and she's out for the count. I forgot that Gaia had originally asked Mirelly to sleepover before the jump bug struck. :p

I'm still no wiser as to how it works for teens. Maybe the one who asks them to sleepover has to stay up until the guest finds a bed to crash out in.
