You appear to building houses with fences instead of walls. Next time you play. Load up one of those funny houses and press F3 for the Building view. The wall tool is accessed by clicking button that ... well ... looks like a wall.
well... i didnt build these houses.. these ones are the ones that already built. i installed this in my friends computer and it works perfectly thats why i dont get why it appears to be so ****ed up whenever i install it at home.. ive already downloaded video card updates reinstalled it i even uninstalled the game and re-installed it and still its the same every time.... im getting frustrated with my copy
For future reference, please refrain from using profanity. There's a reason why we censor it. Even if you abbreviate/shorthand it or use a completely different method of spelling, it's still implied. Thanks in advance
Yeah, you're building walls with fences. Did you delete the original wall around Don Lothario's bedroom and replace it with a short fence instead? And what happened to Don Lothario, and who is that man living in his house? He doesn't look familiar to me. Have I been playing this game too much when I can identify Don Lothario's house just based off its position on the neighborhood map, and spot him in the family bin?
Yeah, but how did the windows and doors get placed on the fences then? Unless he put them there using move_objects, which there's no reason to. Does this happen with other houses?
Hmmm ... I run off to do some errands and come back to find the thot has plickened as the saying goes. I wouldn't have been as nice about the feeble attempt at anglo-saxon as Josh was. It ought to be pretty clear that if a BBS censors certain words then it certainly does't want the same things made up from symbols. Re the problem. The hardware looks more than adequate, we're told that the game installed properly on his friend's computer. He's reinstalled it ... but did he fully remove the Sims 2 folder from his My Documents folder? (I haven't needed to unistall yet, but I suspect that unistaller might leave the saved files intact. One of the houses seems to have walls so I doubt there is a major game file installation error. I suspect that those lots are corrupted some how. Have you applied any patches? Any downloaded things? Have tried buldozing them completely from the neighborhood screen, removing not jsut the houses but the lots they stand on? Have tried to build a new house on an empty lot yet? Your anger is not helping, chum. Calm down a bit and tell the straight, whole story.
If the objects in question *ARE*, in fact, functionally walls, and NOT fences, as in, they act like walls, but LOOK like they are fences, one possible culprit, under the assumption that he has not attempted any funny downloads, is his GF4 MX440, which is a card that has been reported many times as having problems in TS2, and, in general, MX-series Nvidia cards should generally be avoided, as they're often manufactured from defective versions of the base card that failed to pass QA, so they simply downgraded it and sold it as the economy-version.
ah tar-tar sauce! i knew it... stupid fricking video card... thats probably why a friend of mine can play it without that thing since he has the FX series cards... shoot i should have bought that card instead i shouldnt have been duped by my best bud to buy that card for my new pc...since its also the card he uses... crap! btw, i moved the guy that lives in that place thats why he's gone.. i havent modified the house or anything.... i hope EA comes up with a patch for this.... and i havent d/l'd any funny files or anything..... this sucks! :(
