Question about Elders Well I finally had the guts to turn on aging earlier this week so that my baby can finally grow into a toddler. Anyways my adult sims have about 20 days till they become elders and my question is about them living longer: Does a sim live longer because: a) He has a lot of accumalated aspiration points or b) he was platinum at the time of growing up to elder? c) or does it take both a and b into account I would like to know this before they get that stage, don't want them to die to early because I would like them to be Great grand parents .
Even with aging on, immortality is pretty cheap and easy to attain if you're reasonably good at filling wants: The approximate cost is only about 2000 ASP/day. This isn't really too hard to attain, and as long as you can keep up this rate, you can just keep chugging Elixir and live forever even with aging on.
Oh ok, so while my sim is an elder all I have to do is get 2000asp/day... that's not too hard. I thought it was before that counted, well thanks again J.M for the help, seems you are the one that always answers my questions.
Plus you also need to drink that elixir when your aspiration bar is higher than green Sorry, couldn't leave it
Although acquiring Gold meter or even Platinum is surprisingly easy. I've just found a neat trick for a free +7000(or more) ASP for a Popularity Sim: Throw a small family party....at like 2300 (+2000). Being that all the members are family, the party score will hit "Not Bad" very quickly, which is enough to satisfy the +5000 ASP "Have a Great Party" want that nearly always shows up when you satisfy "Throw A Party"...and then cops break it up, so you don't even have to hold the entire party.
