    baby's bladder

ok so there was 1 day that my toddler wasn't potty trained and the rest of the fam was at work/school so the nanny was there and she didnt help the baby go potty - eventually he must've wet himself because she finally changed him. is the nanny not supposed to help with the bladder or what??

The nanny does no type of training - not even potty training when the kid's gotta go. She apparently is only able to monitor those needs that are visible from the outside... such as stinkiness... she can't "peek" at the toddler's needs meters to see what needs to be done. And when in doubt, she feeds...

Ah, that explains why they're constantly feeding them (until now I could avoid the nanny but that's what I read about her:( they are just unsure sims! :)
I hope the nannies in RL are better because otherwise I'm starting to be worried about my daughter (she started going to the creche - day nursery - last Thursday)...

The only purpose a nanny serves is keeping the social worker away. There's no point hiring a nanny if the parent isn't gonna get a promotion by going to work. Cost of nanny plus the loss of child-rearing aspiration points isn't worth the money if the parent is gonna get paid anyway.

Also if you have a child come from alone from school they can call a nanny themselves to stop the social coming and taking them away. (Make sure kid keeps nanny busy playing chess or the greedy pig will cook herself something to eat!)

Nannies, like all unattended caretakers, obsessively forcefeed toddlers and babies even when completely unsolicited. The baby can be perfectly happy and content, and the nanny still won't leave it alone. You'd think this would be simple, but the Maxian programmers regularly demonstrate how bad they are at their jobs. This is undoubtedly why EA forces them to work longer hours: If they weren't so incompetent, they'd finish earlier.

Put a bar-b-que next to her and get someone to start grilling ... when it bursts into flames she'll either die giving you a valuable urn to sell (or a ghost if you need one) or if you're really lucky she'll give up her seat on the couch and you can get another sim to take her place and see how she like having to stand up to watch TV. :p

:) Thought I would add to this as I have had some awesome nannies. At a cost of course.

I tip them from the start and whenever possible befriend them.

They cook clean and even put your little darlings on the potty. Actually that has only happened a couple of times but was pretty cool. Saves on diapers.
Hmmm I have to get out more.

Anyways I also find that having the toddlers use the "try for attention" option with the nanny seems to improve their relationship as well.

I've given up on nannies - they're a pain in the backside! Perhaps I should try improving relations with them though like Bluegayle :)

LMAO at Mirelly's technique of dealing with your tv watching nanny.

You could also try deleting her too with the moveobjects cheat :)
