Is there smth strange with all alien sims in the game? or it`s happend only with mine General Buzz got an alien female baby after being abducted. When she grew up I married her with one guy and when I was trying to make them trying for a baby the sign didn`t apper... It was only WooHoo in there... and no try 4 a baby sign... Then I went to play another family and this sim started talking to the alien one and then fell in love with her.... When they were in the hot tub 2gether I accedently pointed the cursor onto the alien sim and there was try 4 a baby sign!!!! Are the alien sims of another gender then they look like?????
Yikes! I don't think I'd wanna go near anything that came out of General Buzz. OK ... you said: What you didn't say but left us to infer ... was the sim that fell in love l'il ms Alien a female sim of the lady variety???
That would make sence since the males are the ones that come back pregnant when they are abducted. Everything seems topsy turvy in alien world

Bizzare..the only thing I can think of is that General Buzz was a few days away from a life change into elder. My sim married General Buzz and when I wanted them to have a baby it wouldn't work. I only ever got woohoo and never try for baby. Then I saw that they both had only 3 days until elderhood so I used SimEnhancer to buy them some more time. Then they had twins! Yipee!!! My first ones...
Well, if you're trying for babies the old-fashioned way, the age of the male is irrelevant, only the female's age matters. The male can be an elder, and it will still work.
i controlled my alien female and she wasn't married(she's a romance sim, i'd be fulfilling one of her fears if i did it the proper way), and i cliked on another human male sim that was in love with her, it said try for baby and woohoo, so...maybe your relationship wasn't good enough. i dunno.
lol I tryed for a baby with this couple and my sim got pregnant and then she had a black baby!!! I have no idea why this thing happend.... My sim had goth white skin and the alien had green.... First I thought she got pregnant from a dark-skinned man, but I searched through her aquentances and there was no adult man with dark skin color...... hmmm... I suppose my game is really strange....
JM, thats exactly what I thought, that it is only the females age that can restrict "try for baby". As it turned out, it happended again with another family and sure enough, the female was way older in adult days than my male and they couldn't have a baby. I have never played the aliens so I can't comment there...they give me the creeps.
Yeah, but what was in the "alien's" family tree. It takes two to make the meiotic shuffle ya know. Who was in the alien's family tree?
I know it's silly but this annoys me a bit. It is like that old (well, old ish, outmoded by maybe three or four decades or so) chauvanist belief in the infalliblity of male potency that is inaffected by age or anything else. Silly Maxis falls down in the PC stakes again.
The alien girl`s parents were General Buzz and some Politechnichen smth....(I forgot the name, but it`s smth green and black eyed lol)... So, it`s not to do with genetics....
This is so very off topic but why start a new thread? I CANNOT get any of my sims abducted. I tried with Mortimer first. (He sort of starved at the telescope because I forgot he was there.) So I didnt save and i went to strangetown and made circe (who happens to be a character in the odyssey) and she didnt get abducted. THen I tried Nervous SUbject. Still nothing. I got frustrated and went to the actual alien's house and made the wife look. It didnt even work with her. She's like part alien. I dont know what to do now. I just wanna see someone get abducted...
There are various hacks available including hacked telescopes that guarantee abduction every time. Just search this forum and the other sims sites (eg Mod The Sims 2) for hacked telescopes.
There is quite a low chance if it happening, see. The trick is to keep on trying, every night if need be. That is of course if you don't want the hacks. If you do, it's all good.
