Fountain! That fountain in the first screenshot, is that an object that's already available the TS2 or is it new in the expansion pack? I already posted this question in the following thread but no one commented on it: http://forums.worldsims.org/showthread.php?t=3873
Ooooh... fountain!! I missed the fountain... coolness! And here's something I was wondering: how much is college going to cost? How is it going to be paid, by parents, student, both? Is the cost of college going to be based on the size / complexity of the college neighborhood?
Excellent questions, Rowanstaff. I've been wondering that myself. However, they haven't given us that level of specifics yet. I did get the feeling that the Universities would all have the same "levels" of classes, and that's a major cost difference in most real life universities and colleges.
Look! All the university screenshots so far! 1- http://img160.exs.cx/img160/3873/university284zq.jpg 2- http://img41.exs.cx/img41/4572/university147me.jpg 3- http://img29.exs.cx/img29/331/university18mp.jpg 4- http://img131.exs.cx/img131/3352/university161ye.jpg 5- http://img29.exs.cx/img29/7880/university25ce.jpg 6- http://img131.exs.cx/img131/5034/university154mx.jpg 7- http://img29.exs.cx/img29/3337/university91ph.jpg 8- http://img29.exs.cx/img29/5606/university35gy.jpg 9- http://img160.exs.cx/img160/9474/university294fq.jpg 10- http://img134.exs.cx/img134/8715/university206pn.jpg 11- http://img29.exs.cx/img29/710/university46vb.jpg 12- http://img29.exs.cx/img29/7074/university72gg.jpg 13- http://img29.exs.cx/img29/1400/university139di.jpg 14- http://img160.exs.cx/img160/896/university246ne.jpg 15- http://img29.exs.cx/img29/3376/university114nq.jpg 16- http://img160.exs.cx/img160/4145/university256cp.jpg 17- http://img160.exs.cx/img160/7053/university265lx.jpg 18- http://img160.exs.cx/img160/9000/university277do.jpg 19- http://img29.exs.cx/img29/6883/university50as.jpg 20- http://img29.exs.cx/img29/629/university69ep.jpg 21- http://img29.exs.cx/img29/9762/university83lv.jpg 22- http://img29.exs.cx/img29/9387/university106so.jpg 23- http://img160.exs.cx/img160/8629/university233yk.jpg 24- http://img160.exs.cx/img160/1350/university226pl.jpg 25- http://img160.exs.cx/img160/3310/university211sk.jpg 26- http://img38.exs.cx/img38/9755/university177de.jpg 27- http://img134.exs.cx/img134/4670/university197tp.jpg I found them on a forum owned by MikeInside. While he is a master builder and has an excellent site with easy-to-follw tutorials on how to do some quite incredible stuff with the build tools, please be warned before visiting this site that some of the content of his forum does not comply with the 'T for Teen' rating of the game. If you feel that non-'T for Teen' matarial is unsuitable for you, please be cautious about visiting his website. This is why I haven't linked to this other site, which displays the pictures in an easier-to-peruse format, but contains a subject which has caused controversy of late.
Those screenshots are fabulous ZootyZoot!!! I am practically drooling all over my keyboard so badly do I want the game in my hot little computer right now. I love the shots of the young Adults in the rock band performing and the horror they have managed to grown in the greenhouse on picture 25!!! That's what students fooling around with genetic engineering techniques will get ya!!!
That horror is apparently a career reward object; this preview http://pc.ign.com/articles/573/573092p2.html?fromint=1 says: "Once reaching the rank of rogue biologist [in the new Ecology career], sims will gain access to the mighty cow plant. This disgustingly freakish creation has an amazing animation set to accompany it and will please any gamer that loves the fantastic side the Sims series shows every now and again. Basically, this thing is half-cow and half-plant. When properly fed and taken care of, this friendly flora will allow a player to milk its udders (hanging conveniently off of the underside of its toothy maw) for the Elixir of Life, which grants longer life to sims. Better yet, if you don't feed the plant, it will begin to get hungry and look for a snack, which will be anything unlucky to get close enough. Taking a cue from the denizens of the deep, this cow plant waves his cake shaped tongue around to draw sim people in close enough to gulp down in one bite. They're a rather convenient way to dispose of unwanted guests and pesky neighbors."
To Do list... My Sims U to do list: Build a band. Buy a fountain. Start a pillow fight. Feed townies to cow plant. Laugh at townies as they die. List complete.
i have a question. what will happen to the rest of the family when the young adult goes to college??? and when you enter the family from the neighborhood, where will the young adult be?
The family will still remain there, on the original lot, but without the sim who left for college. It'll be just like you had your sim move out into his/her own other lot, but temporarily. And when they graduate college, I'm assuming that they'll either get the option to move into their own lot, or they can move back in with their family.
I think the Maxis Developers have watched LittleShop Of Horrors one too many times!!! Good greif, Seymore the cowplant???
THOSE WEBS WERE GREAT ZOOTYZOOT THANKS lOOK AT THOSE TATOOS COOOOL THE CLOTHES I LOVE THE SIMS 2 UNIVERSITY
Your posts are mad princess Anyone know all new career paths? and will they transfer to adulthood (i.e I wouldnt want biologist to transfer to the existing science track once you leave uni. I think ill make a dorm like the screenie in sims 2 to feed the want for sims U "waves his cake shaped tongue around" lol that's a genius idea
This doesn't really warrent a thread, but is very reportable nonetheless. The release date for TS2U is 11th March - a frazillion% official Maixis fact (i.e. probably a lie, but hey).
