    Sharing Custom Skin Tones

Okay, this will probably sound like a dumb question, but I've made a custom skin tone as well as a custom eye colour - how do I share them with a friend?

There are two ways that you can do this.

In BodyShop you can make a Sim and have the only custom content on it be the things you've made, with the rest all Maxis originals. Then save it and go to the screen which says "package for..." and pick the one which is not packaging it for upload to the TS2 site. Then you can email it or put it on a CD. It will be saved in My Documents\EA GAMES\The Sims 2\Saved Sims.

Or, the more difficult way (but with a smaller size file) is to figure out which of the package files are the ones you want to share, and email or put them on a CD. It will be one of the .package files in your downloads file.

Whenever something is made in BodyShop, it automatically is available when you are in the game. They share the same files. (That's one of the reasons why you can't have BodyShop and the game running at the same time. Same thing with Homecrafter Plus, in that it can't be run at the same time as BodyShop or the game.)
