Mailbox not working In a dorm at my university the students have just passed their fifth semester and have never got any bills. The mailman (who is a female) comes, but she never interacts with the mailbox. To me it looks like a well-known glitch from furnitures that can not be used. Normally I would use the moveobjects code to remove the furnitures and then replace them. I could probably remove the mailbox, but I am not on track with the consequences of such an act, since I can not buy another mailbox. Do you have any prober solutions? It is not an important question, as I never get any reminders or visits from the repo man even though the students never pay the bills they never get. In that way they save a lot of money - about 800-1000 each semester. I just prefer that everything work as expected. I can add that I have bought new furnitures and hired a maid during the past four semesters. Best regards, Boerge
thats happened 2 me but im only on 3rd semester. i think u dont get bills in university but i still get newspapers.
The other three groups of sims that I had graduated from the university got bills in their dorms in the university. Best regards, Boerge
anychance you have pes' mailbox hack? no... even that wouldn't make anysense because you still have to choose to visit the box. sorry. no ideas
The bills come about every 2-3 days. (It seems to be about once a semester from what I've seen.) If you don't pay them, the repo man comes. But there is a glitch with TS2U about the bills. Usually a few days after they can't interact with the bills on that lot, the repo man comes. After that the bills are more normal. Unfortunately, it happened on every lot I had. JMP's PayatBox did seem to help with that problems. I'm not sure if he has the University compatible one linked here on this site, but you can definitely find it in his forum on VariousSimmers. But you say that your people are in their 5th Semester. That's really strange that you haven't already had the repo man come.
