Transfering games between computers: Will This Work?

I want to take my Sims with me on Vacation. :) (Leaving for my mother's house in OH tomorrow, 500 miles away.) I was thinking of installing the game onto my laptop, and then copying the "My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/ University folder onto a CD and then uploading it onto the laptop so my simmies can come along. Then, when I get back, burning the folder onto another CD and putting it back on the PC. :p Anyone see any reason why this won't work?:cheeky:

    Thanks Michelle. :)

It won't work. The files are too big. I even tried just zipping my Neighborhood file, but it wouldn't even work. I am so bummed.

If you have a network cable to set up a small network between computer A and computer B, it should work, though.

If you have a dvd burner and a dvd rom on the laptop you can tranfer that way. I done it with mine and it worked a charm, if not network cable always rules.

u can buy network cables or you can make your own. most stores like Home Depot and Lowes, Ect, Sell it by the yard or somthing, and then you just need to figure out how to get those darn plastic connectors on :p .
Or you can buy one for like $12.
