Freaky Incident OK, I'm still getting shivers thinking about this, but ever since we had the discussion about losing our loved ones, I've been thinking about my dad a lot more than usual and missing him acutely. He has been gone for 11 years now. Anyway, on Sunday at about 11:15pm, I was talking about him with my husband, you know, about how much I was missing him and wishing he was still here, when my lamp on my bedside table started to flicker, going dim then brighter and and dim again to varying degrees, now this is just a run of the mill bedroom lamp, no dimmer switch touch lamp, just on and off. You can believe we were startled. So we changed topics for a few minutes then I started talking about him again, and yes the lamp started to flicker. No other lights in my house where doing it, so I just brushed it off as a loose connection, I knew it wasn't the globe as I had just replaced it a few days ago. Well, it stopped after a few moments and I didn't really think that much of it to tell you the truth, until the next day(yesterday) when I went to my sisters house that is. She began by saying how much she had been thinking about dad lately, and that she had been talking about him to her partner when yes, you guessed it, her lamp beside her bed started to flicker! And what time was it? 11:15pm. No other lights reacted in the same way, just the lamp. I asked a few friends that live in the area if they had experienced the same thing, they all looked at me as if I was a nutter! No one else's lamps or any lights had done that at that time in their houses. So does this leave me with the one explanation that my dad was saying a quick hello? I really hope so.....
That is freaky. So you're thinking that your dad's spirit is being channeled into the lamp, or something like that? I totally believe you.
I think there's a lot in this life we can't explain. Maybe it was your dad, just letting you know he knows you're thinking about him. I think I lived in a haunted apartment once, so I'm the last person to say you're crazy. It does seem odd that you and your sister both experienced the same thing.
I read something in a mag on the Pychic Problems page about a woman who had 3 photographs of her mother who had passed away surrounding a house plant. She noticed they started to move around - just switching places. The psychic said it was because her mother wanted a ring that was promised to the womans daughter by accident in the will to be given to the woman (little confusing - bear with me). It was a special Irish mother ring or something. It was sorted out eventually. So you can bet that it was your Dad trying to reach you. I'm no pyschic, but I think that he knows you miss him and is comforting you. He's still there!
