Shake and Stir I've been looking for something suitably odd to mark my 2,000th post. It seems that 007's secret service, MI6, is actually known as SIS ... well that's what it says on its official website. Ha! I'm not fooled. Whose side are they on anyway. I carefully persued the site and was somewhat perplexed by the language options that are available. They are, get this, russian, arabic, chinese and french, for heaven's sakes! Obviously M, Q and all the double 0's don't trust the darned yanks an inch cos there's no option for American unless that's the spanish option ... which is, after all, offered first ... diodn't I read somewhere that spanish speakers already outnumber english speakers in SoCa anyway. I can't imagine Mossad being that generous. It's not as if the MI6 wesbite does anything useful. At least foreigners can have a chuckle reading the CIA's world factbook where they can see how appalllingly badly their country is run (in the opinion of the CIA) ... LOL OK I am off to apply for a job in SIS. I want a license to kill please ... but I only wanna kill cockroaches and then only humanely ... so if there's a plague in your kitchen and you can find me maybe you should call me.
