    aperation points...

I'm trying to get the elixer of life for one of my families...

The two adults each have just about 17,000 points, but their goals are getting harder and harder to achieve (the head master won't let my teen into private school...)

    Anyone have any tips?

Oh, and what does that "suc" something vaccuum do? I've been debating on whther to buy it... but not sure my sims need it.

it sucks skills and aspirations from unsuspecting visitors... but don't use it if you are not at least green... otherwise it will suck your own points and give them away. And don't suck your friends points because they won't like you anymore.

When I was using it, it only knocked down the relationship by about 2 points. I still managed to stay friends with the sims after I'd stolen their hard earned skills. But maybe I'm just lucky.

true... there is the amnesia factor. tho I wouldn't do it too often. anyway it better to vaccum the npcs, they have a surprising amount of skills.

To answer your question about points:

Since your family now knows the headmaster, try having one of the parents befriend him before inviting him over again. Try talking or chatting rather than schmoozing. Save schmooze for the last resort.

Make sure the house is clean and has at least four separate rooms. I favor open plan houses that for some reason don't impress him because he thinks you live in a one-room cabin or something LOL. Oh, and make sure your fridge has enough food in it. That one got me once.

Feed him, try to keep him on the ground floor for the tour (for some reason calling him to dinner gets trickier if he's not on the same floor as the food), make sure he's never ignored. I have the member of the household with the most cooking points cook their fanciest dish, though spaghetti is always a winner in a pinch. The other parent, and the child in question, should give the tour and make the headmaster feel welcome. You don't have to have a fancy home, though it helps to have one outrageous item. My vampires live in a ruin, for example, but they have a DJ machine (the dad gave it to the mom after a really good date, LOL). Their kid got in.

Oh, and if you have a bubble blower, swingset or remote control car, put it in inventory before he arrives, or just nuke it. You don't want him getting distracted, now, do you?

As for bringing up aspiration points, the fastest way is by having a date, if you have NL. If the kids are still small they can have it at home, but since you have a teenager, the parents should feel free to go to a community lot. If you play your cards right they should come home from the date in platinum mood, with plenty of points for the elixir.

Whether you have NL or not, I find that my sims that flirt and/or make out with each other a lot get more wants for woohoo with spouse than those that don't. So flirt away. Woohoo's worth 3,500 points each time, more if you combine it with another want like "public woohoo" or "woohoo in car."

Hope this helps, and good luck.
