I think that with the medical track, at job level 5 they get the biostation where they practice on a corpse. DON"T USE IT!! I did, and then I had a party, and pretty soon I had a massive case of the flu that wiped out about half of my population!!

Family sims don't have a preferred job description except for "mommy" and "daddy." They want to have babies, and cook, and get a cleaning skill point, and have their children graduate from college. I had a Family Dad in the military once, and he did very well with that.

If you want to make medicine you get that through the Science track. I had one Sim that made it to the top of the field in that and found that the object really wasn't good for anything except building the Logic skill. It wasn't continous, every time the medicine was finished you had to stop and sell it (or dispose of it if it went wrong), so you really had to keep an eye on them to keep them working. Also, there was the chance of getting sick from it.

My Sim got sick off it once, and even after making the medicine and having him drink it repeatedly, he didn't get better and had to do the old "Relax" bit until he got better.

Kristal, you can get the flu off the Medical career object? That's terrible! I'd better watch more closely when I use that one too, then!

I think that the problem was that it sat around. I guess it's common sense that a dead corpse rotting in the house would cause disease. LOL My Sim had kept it for a long time, had transitioned to Elder, but still loved to play with it.

LOL ... I think you're right, Michelle. It isn't a corpse. That would be like ... yeeeeew! I am not however discounting Kristal's flu. I just had a counterfeiting machine catch fire. I think the best we can say is that anything is possible. :p

family sims can choose any tract, but because their priorities are different there are some careers they aren't good at. I have a romance sim that is a career criminal. Actually she made a mistake on the job and got fired, but I'm not sure I want her to try another career or not. Also I think that she will have to adopt a kid because she doesn't want to get married. Her family sim sister married a widower and is now working on her 2nd kid, 2 "stepchildren" who are now adults. Her asperation is 6 weddings. I don't know how that can happen because her stepson disappeared from the game, and not by way of the aliens. by the way, the family sim is also pretty successful so far in the business track.

Fambly sims, despite the fact that their lifetime want will never, ever include this under normal conditions, do best in the Science track, because Science requires cooking, cleaning, and logic. Cooking and Cleaning are the "wanted" skills by fambly sims, so they'll gain ASP points occasionally for gaining or maxing those skills, which fits in nicely with the Science track. Also, the Science career tends to run during school-compatible hours for many of the job levels, and eventually becomes a late-night job, which makes it compatible with a spouse that has any other day job, and doesn't drag home "friends".
