a little bit of irony THINK ABOUT THIS! A car company can move its factories to Mexico and claim it's a free market. A toy company can outsource to a Chinese subcontractor and claim it's a free market. A major bank can incorporate in Bermuda to avoid taxes and claim it's a free market. We can buy HP Printers made in Mexico. We can buy shirts made in Bangladesh. When I need to speak to someone about my computer, I talk to somebody in India. We can purchase almost anything we want from 20 different countries... BUT, heaven help the elderly who dare to buy their prescription drugs from a Canadian pharmacy. That's called un-American! And you think the pharmaceutical companies doesn't have a powerful lobby? Think again! Please forward this to every person you know over age 50. It is an interesting point of view. Maybe this is an issue that should come up in the next election! Forget the 50, send it to everyone. Sooner, or later, we're all in this boat together!
Oh we got the same scam going on here in Yurrup ... only differently In the interests of a Free Market, the EU has decreed that prescription drugs can come from any old EU state. In practise this means that small independent pharmacies get their supplies from abroad. Of course, by law, such drugs have to be repackaged with english language leaflets but they remain in the foreign language blister packs (presumably to prove that they haven't been tampered with ). I don't like it. It free marketism gone nuts.
