a question. Ok,Im new to sims2 so dont get angry if this question is dumb. All these people are talking about "Downtown" what I want to know is do I need University or Nightlife to access it If I dont need Uni or Nl I prolly havnt tryed it. If you guys or girls could help,it would be appreciated. Thanks:bunny:
If you're new to sims 2 it's fun just learning how to play. Adding the EP's later can help "renew" the game for you once it starts to get a little boring. I like NL better but recommend getting them both if you can swing it. Make sure you install them in order (uni first) if you do. Together they add a lot of interest and fun new features to the game.
Yeah im prolly getting then for christmas or earlyer. My friends got Uni and NL he said i have to install them in order tp because it cuased his sim game alot probs and bugs,so yeah i'll take that advice oh and these were the bugs>People walking thorugh walls(eg:UR SIMS),fires happening because his sims are usen the toilet,his money goes up rapidly,most of his saves were deleted,glitchy as,whole screen going black then going back to the game(it only started happening when he installed in this order The Sims 2 NL EP Uni ep) so after he went in order he gets not bugs or anything like that. oh and is you guys sims 2 kinda slow or laggy
You need a fairly powerful machine to run Sims. If your machine isn't quite up the job it will be "slow and laggy." My old machine was, and my new one is too occasionally. I plan to get more RAM and a new video card soon. Keeping up with the EPs can get expensive, hardware-wise. It helps if you know how to install parts yourself, or have a friend who will do it for free. I've upgraded my computer a few times since first getting the sims, but I've managed to keep it under $800. So far.
hmmm,yeah we "might" need some more ram. Oh and yes we only have a 40 gb hard drive built up with two drives it kinda goes like this MY COMPUTER (cdrive free space 6.00 gb total space 20 gb (edrive free space 20 gb total space 20 gb oh and yes we prolly will get an upgrade but our graphic card is top class Edit:Oh and we probily will get a external hard drive a like 60 gb one so its like 100 gb at the max
Hard drives are so cheap nowadays, you can literally get a nice decent size drive for a fraction of the price. Couple of examples from places in my part of town.
do u have to have uni b4 nightlife or can nightlife be installed w/o uni? Sorry just realized that there was a thread for my question. so never mind
