My heart is breaking...over the loss!
Let us keep those families in our thoughts and prayers. May God surround them in His love and give them His peace and comfort during this time of great tragedy!

I was afraid to watch the news before my hubby got home to be there with me... he got home and we watched together and just cried and cried. We lost some of our Dreamers. :(

Some of my friends heard the boom and are within the debris fallout area. :( I'm very sad also that there have been people trying to SELL what they claim is parts of the debris on Ebay, Ebay had to pull a bunch of stuff off because it's a violation. It's illegal to sell it if it's real, and fraud if it's not, so no matter what it really was it's not acceptable. I'm really upset people would jump on it so fast trying to profit the day after. :(

it is just a tragedy they said it maybe caused from insulation that had fallen off during the launch of the shuttle.

Yes it's sad. But they knew what they were doing and what risks they took. Remember Apollo 13. Remember Estonia with almost 1000 people dead in the Baltic Sea.
Firefighters and people working outside skyscrapers are also high risk proffessions. I'm not even going to read that link, that's how much I got enough of US catastrophys, including sept 11. Please give the rest of us a thought to. We maybe doesn't want to hear about US at all. Not in here anyway.
Please there are also more people here from the rest of the world. Can we please have no more catastrophys here? I don't think this is a good place to mourn. This makes me feel like a stranger ehre. I'm not American. We are pretty many here that's not Amricans at all. We have our own catastrophys and sadnesses in our countries, but we don't post it here.
I feel more sad about the coming victims in this idiotic war Bush is starting and the daily victims for war in the middle east. I feel more sad for all those in US and other countries that are without food or running water.

I just realized this thread is posted in this forum. Isn't that the wrong one? I thought this forum was to matters concerning worldsims.
I also just discoverd the nice condolance note on the main page of Worldsims. Can we please let this be now?

I'm sorry this makes you feel this way Nina. :( To us it's more that just an American thing. One lady was from India, and one man was from Israel... the space program has become much more an international/world effort with different countries participating. I wasn't thinking of it as an American tragedy, sorry. :( The "we" I said I meant "us" as all humanity, not America....

My heart goes all out to the families and friends of these talented people...they will be missed by the human race
We have our share of misfortunes too when when of our navy boats collided with a tanker resulting in 4 fatalities...all women

I can understand that. But still. If all of us took up all catastrophys and accidents all the time from other parts of the world? It's way to much. I'm sorry but they still knew what risks they were facing. They had choosen it themselves just as firefighters put their lives in jeopardy at almost all fires. That's why I think this is way overboard and gets to much attention. I still think the condolancenote at the mainpage is enough.
No one even commented about Estonia. She went down sept. 28 1994. A catrastrophy with real victims and for Sweden it was in percentage way bigger loss in life than sept 11.

For you who doesnt have a clue:
    http://www.multi.fi/~stigb/Estonia/estonia0.html
Videoclips, animations and facts. Still the site is dedicated to the victims. Still relatives and a special committee thinks that facts are hidden and the truth isnt revealed. Im inclined to agree. It was a sabotage on the boat causing the catastrophy. People have been bought out and frightened to witness and come forward with what they know Well I think you can fill in the rest yourselves.

I still don't think these matters belongs in a forum that are made for announcements regarding worldsims. Also at this forum it will be visible in eternity and everytime anyone goes in here they will be reminded. In general or off-topic it will fade away in its own pace.

I`m so sorry nina if this offended you but it was just a small way of rememberance for the crew!!
if we were on line when the estonia accident happened i`m sure something would have been said in remembrance!!
Yes the crew of the Columbia new the risks but it was still very sad and its very sad the The world Trade Center was attacked and in such an evil way!!
we all have our own ways of remembrance and this is one!!
